This page describes how to manage the site in relation to the processing of personal data of users interacting with the services available on the website of the Customs Agency. This information is provided pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 30/06/2003, no. 196 ("Italian Personal Data Protection Code", the so-called Privacy Code) to all those interacting with the web services of the Customs Agency and does not apply to other websites that may be accessed through links, for which the Customs Agency is not responsible in any way. This information also takes into account Law no. 133/2008, Legislative Decree no. 109/2008, the Resolution of 02/03/2011 and Recommendation no. 2/2001.

Navigation Data

IT systems and software procedures used for the functioning of this Website collect, during the normal course of operation, some personal data whose transmission is implied in the use of Internet communication protocols.
Such information are not collected in order to be associated to specific individuals; but, due to their own nature, they could allow to identify users through processing operations and associations with data belonging to third parties.
This categories of data include IP addresses or domain names of users’ PCs connecting to the site, URL addresses (Uniform Resource Locator) of resources required, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the file size obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters related to the operating system and the users.
These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the Site: except for this possibility, the data on web contacts are stored only for a period of time that does not exceed the time needed for the purposes for which they were collected.

Personal Information

The information submitted by the users are requested in order to utilize the services made available to the Customs Agency.
In particular, the data required for the authorization to use the Telematic Customs Service (Servizio Telematico Doganale ) are captured and stored in the storage server and are protected by security measures. Access to these pages by the authorized person is strictly personal and based on the use of authentication credentials by individual users. In these cases, the provision of data by the applicant is necessary for the provision of services to users. Their absence makes it impossible to obtain the requested service.
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site involves, by its very nature, the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, and any other personal data included in the message. Specific summary information will be progressively reported or displayed on web pages dedicated to particular services on request..
The Customs Agency invites users requesting services not to send third parties’ names or other personal information that are not strictly necessary.

Data controller

The controller of the personal data resulting from the use of the site is the Customs Agency, via Mario Carucci n. 71, 00143 Rome.
Sogei SpA, with registered office in Via Mario Carucci n. 99, 00143 Rome, has been designated as external data processor.

Place and method of data processing
The processing operations connected to the web services offered by this website take place at the headquarters of the data controller and of the external data processor and are only handled by technical staff in charge of the processing.
No data resulting from the service is disseminated.
The personal data provided by users who access to e-services of the Customs Agency are used for the sole purpose of using the service and are not disclosed to third parties, unless such disclosure is required by law or is strictly necessary for the compliance of tax obligations of the taxpayer.
Some acquired data are also aggregated to produce anonymous statistical analysis necessary to formulate assistance strategies, whose main objectives are the provision of new personalized services and facilitating beforehand the compliance with tax obligations by taxpayers. The personal data in question will be maintained for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and kept for a period not exceeding one year.
Specific security measures are observed in order to prevent the loss of data, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.

Rights of the persons involved

The persons to whom the data refer have the right at any time to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data relating to him or her exist and to know their content and origin, verify its accuracy or request its integration or updating ( Article 7 of legislative decree no. 196/2003).
Pursuant to this Article shall have the right to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, and to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, to their treatment.
