Grant of inward processing (IP) authorisation
The video shows the customs treatment reserved for goods that are temporarily imported to be processed within the customs territory of the European Union and then re-exported outside it: this is the case of the inward processing procedure which involves the suspension of duties and VAT.
This regime makes it possible to encourage and facilitate the processing activity carried out by the industries of the European Union.
Therefore it is essential to get an authorization valid in one or more EU States: the video overview indicates who issues it, what information and documents to provide to obtain it and how long it takes to obtain it.
Where the authorization is valid in several States of the European Union, ADM also consults the customs authorities of the countries concerned.
